Friends of the Libraries, Hawaii (F.L.H. aka “Big Friends”) recently named Kauʻi Young as 2024 Librarian of the Year. The last Kailua-Kona Librarian to receive this award was in 1997!
Library patrons voted for this Excellence in Service award for their favorite librarian. Kauʻi’s enthusiasm, engaging smile and personality are the reason kids (babies to 5th graders) want to come back to the library often. She makes learning fun and interactive!
