2026 Summer Reading Challenge: The statewide Summer Reading Challenge is underway and runs through July 31. Sign up today using the following link to earn your first reward right away! librarieshawaii.org/
F.O.L.K. volunteers joined the King Kamehameha Day Parade on Saturday, June 6th. The event was a success, with more than 1,200 bookmarks shared to promote our upcoming book sale dates for the rest of the year.
Our monthly book sale will be held at the Kailua-Kona Library on Friday, July 17 from 11am to 3pm and Saturday, July 18 from 9am to 1pm. Proceeds support library programs and activity supplies.
Our monthly Board meeting will be held Tuesday, July 21 from 4–6pm on the Kailua-Kona Library lanai. All members are welcome.
We still need a few volunteers to help decorate our holiday tree for the Charity of Trees fundraising event at the Mauna Lani Resort this December.
We have one Board opening. The Sales Director will support an experienced team that manages our monthly book sales, daily lobby sales, and online sales efforts.
