Our monthly book sale will be held at the Kailua-Kona Library on Friday, September 18 from 11am to 3pm and Saturday, September 19 from 9am to 1pm. Proceeds support library programs and activity supplies. Our monthly Board meeting will be held Tuesday, September 15 from 4–6pm on the Kailua-Kona Library lanai. All members are welcome.
September is “Give Aloha” month at Foodland and Sack N Save markets. You can donate spare change, a specific dollar amount or your Maika’i points to benefit F.O.L.K. Use our number 78452.
With students back in school, another year of F.O.L.K.’s Friendly Bus Program is underway. For nearly 20 years, F.O.L.K. has funded field trips to the library for second grade students from Kona’s 21 public schools. This year we are growing the program to include private schools and older students.
