- Give F.O.L.K. a big cheer, as many of our volunteers will be walking in the King Kamehameha Day Parade on Saturday, June 6th. The parade starts at 9 am at the Kona Community Aquatic Center in Kailua-Kona and finishes at Alii Drive and Walua Road.
- Our monthly Board meeting is Tuesday, June 16, from 4–6 pm on the Kailua-Kona Library lanai. All members are welcome.
- Our monthly book sale is Friday, June 19, from 11 am to 3 pm, and Saturday, June 20, from 9 am to Noon at the Kailua-Kona Library. Proceeds support library programs and activity supplies.
- We are considering a new fundraising idea and plan to design and sell a different holiday ornament each year, potentially. We are looking for volunteer(s) to create the design for a historical site in the Kona area.
- We’re looking for a few volunteers to help decorate our holiday tree for the Charity of Trees fundraising event at the Mauna Lani Resort this December.
- We have one Board opening. The Sales Director will lead an experienced team that manages our monthly and daily lobby book sales and leads our online sales efforts
